Bridal Portrait with her Grandmother

Bridal Portrait with her Grandmother

Alyssa and Paul had such a fun wedding! They were both so outgoing and relaxed all day. The groom got ready at the new house they just bought. The bride got ready at her parents house. After she got into her dress, we brought her out to the front porch for some portraits and for a first look with dad. Little did we know her grandmother would soon peek out from the upstairs window! Alyssa did not even know this was happening. This was such a memorable moment, as grandma was sick and was not going to be able to attend the wedding. We immediately stopped the portraits with the bride so we could capture this.

They started to talk to each other and had a few laughs. Grandma told her she looked beautiful! It's unexpected moments like this that make taking photos such a joy. When family members or friends pass, it's images like this that remind of us how special and important photography is. When we capture images like this, we always seem to edit them to black and white. Black and white showcases a lot of emotion.

Alyssa and Paul had their wedding ceremony at Annunciation Roman Catholic Church in Elma. We then went for photos at Buffalo Creek, about 5 minutes from the church. The bride and groom spent a lot of time at this creek fishing, so it was the perfect location for portraits. The reception followed at Salvatore's Italian Gardens!
