Bride at Freedom Run Winery

Bride at Freedom Run Winery

Emily and Brandon had a New Year's Eve Wedding on December 31, 2018! It was a great party! The wedding ceremony was at All Saints Roman Catholic Parish in Lockport, NY. The reception followed at one of our favorite venue's at Rapid's Theatre! It was a rainy day, so we took advantage of as much indoor space as we could.

The bride got ready at an old home that is located on the Freedom Run Winery property. It was gorgeous. There was a huge wooden winding staircase, pocket doors, and giant windows everywhere. We scoped out the whole house to find the perfect spot for the bride to be to get into her dress. We ended up using one of the upstairs bedrooms. There was a beautiful vintage mirror in the corner of the room. You can see it peaking out in the right hand corner of the image. We did use that quite a bit for portraits. Emily had an extremely long veil. Did we ever mention how much we love long veils? This pushed the length of a cathedral veil to it's limit. It was so long and we loved it! With the assistance of her maid of honor, we spread out the veil. We didn't pull too tight, as we wanted to have some drapery in it. The bride had a gorgeous pose too. We wanted her to look as though she was adjusting part of the veil. It almost looks like she is pulling it over her should a bit. We really liked how you can see the slight profile of the bride's face with that tiny bit of veil covering her.The bride had amazing posture and kept her shoulders back. When we had her bend that left arm, she never slouched or crouched down! This was turned into black and white to create more drama! We really wanted Emily to stand out and see all those curves in the veil.

We love to get creative with the getting ready images! It makes it even better when we can get these giant windows with great light and have unique rooms!
