Destination, Frog Pond Bed and Breakfast in Skaneateles, NY! Wow! What a beautiful wedding venue for Ashley and Justin. They had their ceremony and reception at this location. They had a balmy August 2016 wedding!
It was a very vintage and antique style location! One of our favorites. Neal was shooting a wedding back home in Buffalo, so I got the honor of photographing (with an assistant) this gorgeous bride at this location!
Justin's family rented a small house not far from the B and B. We started off there and got some great getting ready shots of the groom and his groomsmen. Then we headed over to see the bride and her bridesmaids at Frog Pond. They were getting ready in the main house. It was so pretty!
For destinations, we ask to arrive the day before, so we can scope out the area. We do not always know the area and need to see what we are working with. This also allows us to meet the family and wedding party, so everyone is comfortable with us day of the wedding!
I knew when I saw this abandoned stone building on the grounds, it was a must for the bride's portraits. She had a stunning lace vintage style dress. Perfect for this location! I love the bicycle with the basket full of flowers! The stone building and texture of the wooden door make this image even more beautiful.
When Neal and I photograph separately, Neal still does some of the editing. He is known for his post work and all of our clients have access to this when they book us! He was a little upset he couldn't be at Frog Pond. He would have been in his glory with everything there was to work with there! My absolute favorite from Ashley and Justin's wedding!
I did use the spot again later in the night for a portrait with Ashley and Justin! It was all lit up and gave a completely different look then it did earlier in the day!
