Family portrait sessions can be so much fun. We love when parents contact us and say they want something different. They came to the right place at Neal Urban Studio. We love different!
This image looks like a band album cover! We started off the portrait session at the Buffalo River Works area in Buffalo. It is also called the Silo City area. There are old grain elevators and run down buildings. We did the entire family photos, by this part, then wanted to do something a little more fun for the kids.
Neal and I had driven around the area to find some cool locations for the kids. We came across an old train caboose, so we drove there. Unfortunately, we were told we could not be there, unless we paid a fee, so we had to move on. This happens a lot for photos. Some places require permits or fees. We only wanted to do one photo there, so it wasn't worth the hassle.
We drove back toward Silo City and noticed there were a bunch of trains. We lucked out because the trains are not always there unless there are deliveries. So, it was good timing. We all pulled over on the side of the road and had the kids pose in front of the train tracks. We loved the rusty back ground. We also really like how each of the kids had their own style. The color scheme matched, but they each had on something that represented their personalities. Look at that hat!! Perfect for train tracks! This was such a great family portrait session!
