Movie stars on set please! This was the vibe for this family session created by Neal Urban Portraits. They wanted something along the lines of style of TV show Sopranos. Very dramatic, serious, dark, and deserted. Location was the once Summit Park Mall in Niagara Falls. Run down, no color. During the first meeting, this family mentioned they had a Cadillac. Neal Urban Photography loves to use old cars for props. What made this even better was it actually belonged to them.
The weather was below 0 and Neal Urban Photography knew they needed to move fast. Luckily, all of the family were adults and could take direction very quickly. They were able to stay in their heated cars and came out when it was their turn. It just so happened in the back of the Cadillac were some folding chairs. Right up Neal Urban's alley! These looked just like movie set chairs. Neal Urban Studio did bring one that we had, but we loved the hint of red.
Posing and studio lighting had to be perfect for this type of session. A plan of attack was already communicated with the family to make things move quickly and get them out of the cold. This session turned out so great! Neal Urban designed a beautiful custom photo box as well as a massive print for their home. Massive means about 6ft long! It was so much fun delivering it to their home and helping them install!
