Neal and Danielle Urban photograph many other sessions besides a wedding day. There are family portrait sessions, engagement sessions, maternity, newborn sessions, first birthday cake smashes, boudoir sessions, senior portraits, post bridal or trash the dress sessions. There can be head shots, high fashion portraits, anniversary or birthday parties, holiday party, or even holiday or seasonal portraits sessions.
Neal and Danielle can schedule a lot of these sessions in studio or on a location. They will consult with the client to talk about ideas or style they are looking for. Styles can include rustic, architectural, or a park/nature setting. They will give multiple locations for the clients to look into to see which they will like. They do have a few favorites such as Knox Farm State Park or Fort Niagara State Park that look amazing for family portrait sessions or engagement sessions. For a maternity session, they love to go to Tift Nature Preserve that has rolling hills and gorgeous views. It all depends on what the client wants their images to look like!
Neal and Danielle like to schedule these outdoor sessions when the lighting is perfect. This means they start the shoot closer to sunset. The sun will not be as harsh. They also bring their own lighting equipment. Sometimes added light is needed to fight shadows. Neal Urban is very good with lighting, so he can use these lights to create amazing images, even in the dark!
For a newborn session, they will schedule those inside of their studio. These need to have controlled conditions, such as lighting, heating, and it has to be very quiet. In a newborn consult, we try to find out something that specifically pertains to the parents. For example, if the parents love camping, they may try to set up a scene that incorporates camping style. No two sessions are the same.
For any in studio session, the sets are build from scratch by Neal and Danielle Urban. All of the props are from antique stores or handed down from family members. If they can build it and make it happen, they will! Clients are also more than welcome to bring in anything they may want to include for photos.
A post bridal or trash the dress session can be extremely fun for a bride and groom. There are times where a couple really wants a certain style or location for their wedding day, but logistics and timing may not allow for that This is where these sessions can come into play. The bride and groom can get back into their weddings dress or tuxedo and go to these locations. Neal and Danielle are very well known for their destination work for photos like these. Clients have taken them to Antigua, Disney World, Jamaica, and even Alaska to for these sessions. They will create a package for the client to include multiple shoots while there. They can even bring different outfits!
Neal and Danielle offer different packages for each type of photo session as well. They can include multiple outfit changes and even albums or baby books. They try to offer something for all people and budgets. Most of their clients have been with them from day one of booking their wedding and engagement photos. Then they get pregnant and they do maternity, newborn, family, and birthday sessions. They love to create images to document the families journey through life!
