Portrait sessions at Neal Urban Studio are always so much fun, especially when they are personal projects.
This image was a project Neal had always wanted to do, but we needed the perfect dog and couple. Could this dog not be the most perfect dog ever! Meet Marcus! We love photographing dogs.
We reached out to the couple and told them our idea. We had worked with them before, so they were happy to be a part of this. We wanted very classy outfits. That was all they had to bring. And Marcus of course!
We had all of the props ready when they arrived and showed them our vision. This shar pei was the sweetest and calmest puppy. It didn't take too much treat bribing to get this photo. He actually wanted to sleep most of the time. We wanted him to stay at the studio all day!
We could not have been happier with the outcome of this in studio portrait session. We were so pleased, we even brought Marcus back in the next year for a follow up session. We did a before and after of a solo shot we took of him as a puppy. Then the same shot when got bigger. This was an image that was going to be entered in the Wedding Portrait and Photographers International (WPPI) competition in Las Vegas!
We are always coming up with new ideas and personal projects. It is so much fun when we can bring them to life!
