You have been reading about Christina’s maternity session in the last few blog posts. You read, she really wanted an outdoor dramatic session, but the weather was not on our side. Neal Urban Studio is always up for a challenge when there is bad weather, but driving was not even an option for Christina to get to Neal Urban Studio. Wait it out a week, there will still be a ton of snow! The next issue was it took a long time for plows to clear areas, so we could not get to a lot of the locations we hoped. That meant time to rethink some ideas!
Christina ended up having some amazing maternity photos done inside of Neal Urban Studio. We were able to create the dramatic style she was looking for and then some. She had selected some gorgeous maternity outfits. From black lace, to flowy red, to a sandy color sheer robe. The robe was so much fun! Danielle Urban does love a puffy sleeve!
Neal Urban was able to take a quick ride around the day before Christina’s maternity session to find a location for some snow photos. He found Bond Lake State Park (about 15 minuted from our Youngstown studio). A small area was plowed and we could get Christina near the Lake! She was all for it when we told her. Of course the temperatures dropped and the wind picked up right when we got out of the car.
Mommy to be was such a trooper. Neal Urban Photography had already communicated the posing we were going to do, so we could work fast. External lighting was brought out for more drama, as it was getting dark out. Neal Urban Studio wanted to keep a cool, blue color for the photos. Nothing too warm. Neal Urban Portraits was only outside a quick ten minutes at Bond Lake to get some beautiful images to wrap up Christina’s maternity session. She ended up getting her magical winter wonderland after all!
Christina loved her images and opted to have Neal Urban Photography design a photo box of her favorites. She wanted to surprise dad to be and also give some images to her mother. Photo boxes are a great idea for gifts! A bonus is you can always add prints to the box every time you have a session with Neal Urban Studio!
