Wedding Family Portrait in Buffalo

Jeff and Jenna got married in November of 2018. They had a beautiful ceremony at Trinity Episcopal Church in Buffalo. We did photos at the Curtis Hotel, Niagara Square, City Hall, and Statler City. They had their reception at Statler in the Golden Ballroom.

Let's back it up a bit to the getting ready portion of the day. Jeff got ready and their home in Elma. Jenna and her bridesmaids got ready at a friends condo at the Avant Buffalo. After mom and maid of honor helped the bride into her dress, we did a first look with dad. He was waiting in the hall until it was his turn to see his lovely daughter. Jenna and her parents (and brother) have such a strong and close bond. They do a lot together. Both mom and dad were present throughout almost all of the planning of the wedding. Dad even went wedding dress shopping with the girls!

After the first look, we wanted to do some basic family portraits with the bride and her parents. We used a simple back drop of an empty wall in the condo. There were huge windows and this area had amazing lighting. You can see the bond this family has by looking at this portrait. Mom and dad are both crying. The bride is holding back tears, but has a smile on her face. Things could not be more perfect at that moment for this family. I think we were even crying behind camera at this point. This was such a great moment before heading off to the church to see their only daughter get married!
