Natalie and Joe had a beautiful maternity session with us at Tift Nature Preserve in Buffalo. We started the shoot at the Buffalo Outer Harbor right across the street. It was even more special because Natalie's sister was pregnant too and she was in some photos as well! It was so cute.
After that, her sister took off and we worked with Natalie and her husband Joe! Tift is a great location for maternity sessions. There are rolling hills, tall grass, flowers, water, and docks. The tall grass always makes a great photo.
The sun was hitting this grass and giving it a nice golden glow. There was a path we could put the parents to be in. Neal stepped into the grass, so he could include some in the foreground. Doing this can help frame in the couple. It did that here!
Prom pose is a must for maternity sessions. Hands should always be on the belly and what better way than the prompts. Natalie had such a tiny belly too. We had to position their hands on both sides so you could see it better. Then we had Natalie looking down to the pregnant belly and hubby Joe kissing her neck. Love it!
The outfits worked out really well too. Natalie and Joe kept it really simple and summery. They fit the style of Tift perfectly. The colors looked so nice. Sometimes, simple is the way to go!
We love working with this couple. After the baby was born, we had an another amazing studio session at Neal Urban Studio. Then we would go on to do the first birthday cake smash portraits! So many more memories to capture!
