Indigenous Family Power

Indigenous Family Power

For most family portrait sessions, when children are involved, parents main focus is aways on the children. They always forgot about themselves or push that photo to the side. Not when hiring Neal and Danielle Urban. We never want our clients to have any regrets. So let's do that parent photo for you to always have! Look how amazing mom and dad look! How could they want to pass this up!

This indigenous family session was so amazing! Neal Urban Photography has worked with this family previously for a senior portrait session for their daughter. It was time to schedule the next daughters senior session and mom wanted to schedule family photos too. They had not done family portraits for a very long time. Neal Urban Studio scheduled with family session first, then later in the week was the senior session.

The family was going to wear indigenous fashion, all handmade by mom and grandma. How fun! The colors and detail, especially the beading was amazing. The earring the ladies had on, were beautiful. When Neal Urban had chatted with mom, we did not expect this. It was better than we could have imagined.

To tie everything in together, the family session was done at Beaver Island State Park. In nature, then down by the water to end. This image shows all of the kids. They rocked this session. Behind the scenes was so much fun too! Dancing, laughing, selfies.

Neal Urban Photography was going to treat this session like an in studio session. Lighting and posing was similar to how Neal Urban Portraits would do an indoor session. There had to be serious and dramatic images, as that is what nature was giving us that day with some crazy dark clouds. Every image was better than the next!

Neal Urban Collection designed a custom album for this family session. What was really great, this family already had one of our custom albums from their daughter's senior session. Then they would be adding another later in the week from the other daughters senior session. Three family albums to build their library to display in their home! We can't wait for the boys to get older!
