This was a gorgeous maternity session at Woodlawn Beach State Park. This mommy to be was stunning. She was super tall and had very sharp features. We really did not have to give her much direction on posing. Katelyn wanted to look very natural. She wore light makeup and kept her hair simple and flowing. The weathermen were calling for a storm and we were not sure how much time we would have. There was a light wind when we got to the beach. It was perfect for Katelyn's dress styles.
We have photographed all different kinds of sessions at Woodlawn Beach. We wanted things to look different for this couple. We went to different parts of the beach and ventured a little further out. We were so glad we did, when we found this little nook. The sun was starting to set and the light was splashing on the tall grassy location. Katelyn had a really cute lace/sheer dress. We could see hints of her belly popping through. We loved how the light was making this mama glow. We loved how the tall grass was blowing in the wind. Her hair and dress were flowing as well.
Right after this shot, the clouds started to roll in and the skies darkened. We headed toward the water to catch the beautiful sunset that was about to happen! Once we got back to the cars, it started to pour. We had perfect timing!
