When we starting discussing the newborn session, they just wanted something girly and simple. They all love the outdoors, so we wanted to keep that nice rustic outdoor feel for them. We had an old piece of fence we decided to use for the back drop. We thought the bushel basket would be perfect, as they have apple trees at the cottage! Once we had the baby asleep and in the basket, we added in the flowers for a little bit of color to look like we could be outside. They also complimented her cute little flower headband. We really like the clean lines that lead down the fence and continue down the bushel basket.
Look at her little smile! For newborn sessions, we always start with family portraits to help keep the baby calm. Then we work with just the baby. If the baby is in a deep sleep or industry term "milk drunk" we know we can pose them without disturbing them. This helps for posing like this. Ella was an amazing sleeper and we were able to get so many different poses and set ups with her! She definitely gave the vibe that Spring was on it's way!
